At the time you start building a business, has it ever occurred to you a question like this: “the marketing or production, which one should I do first?”. If so, I congratulate you. Because the knowledge of your business better at that time. For many businessman or businesswoman who start first in building the business, this kind of question never crossed on their mid. What they think most probably is learn technical knowledge related with the business field, hiring employees, harvest, then sell the results. Though there are two forms of business organization related to marketing and production:
1. Sales-oriented organization.
Sell what they make or their production.
2. Marketing-oriented organization.
Make what is sold.
The difference between marketing and production of both organizations is in the design of products or services. In the sales-oriented organization, product or service developed with minimal attention to the needs of consumers in the target market. Its primary focus is to create a product or service. Once a product or service is completed, then marketing is designed. Consequently, it usually takes a lot of effort (and sometimes very hard) to sell products or services, with a note: if in fact the product or service may be sold.
